Today, as a nation, we celebrate Veterans Day. To every veteran and their loved ones I say thank you. Thank you for being willing to serve our country. Thank you for all that you gave in the process of serving and supporting those who served.

Today, as a global community, we celebrate Armistice Day. The essence of this day is peace, celebration of the end of war. I turn my attention to peace…within my heart, within my home, within my community, within my nation, within the world. Today I celebrate peace.

I am grateful on this day
To all who have served
As I turn to a new way
A new day
