Spokane Unity Spiritual Center to host Day of the Dead service Oct. 30.

The South Asia Cultural Association of Spokane will be presenting “Shanti Ragas (Peaceful Melodies)” concert and workshops on Friday and Saturday.

At the beginning of April, Unity Spiritual Center of Spokane chose a replacement minister pair to take the place of the Rev. David McClure who stepped down to focus on his health and healing.

Combine a barstool philosopher, an activist shouting ‘stop plate tectonics’, and a ‘letter’ from President Bush and the end result is the going away service for the Rev. Clare Austen.

After 12 years, Austen is ending her position as pastor of Unity Spiritual Center of Spokane.
