Offering Ashes to Go downtown

Naomi Calkins-Golter, of Rosalia, didn’t have time to go an Ash Wednesday service this morning.

She’s a working mom, and her kids had a half-day of school, so when she saw clergy imposing ashes outside Riverpark Square, she was quick to walk over and ask for a blessing.

Holy Trinity Episcopal ends 2012 Dinner Table with Christmas celebration

Christmas came a few days early for 100 of Spokane’s low income and homeless residents on Wednesday evening, where volunteers served a warm holiday meal, Santa brought presents and children performed in an off-the-cuff pageant.

The guests come to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church weekly for the Dinner Table, where volunteers know them by name and serve them a homemade meal.
