The Sikh Coalition, a civil rights organization, has teamed up with researchers and academics to launch a nationwide online survey that asks Sikh American students about bullying, diversity and inclusivity and how much support they receive from teachers and other school staff when remarks are made about their race, ethnicity and religion.

According to Stopbullying.gov, as many as 1 in 3 students say they have been bullied at school. I would guess, that is probably an underestimate

Although federal data indicate rates of bullying have decreased over the past decade, bullying remains a significant issue. One in five students still reports being bullied at school.

Bullying, most of us probably know, can be a tremendously painful experience for a young person.
