On Oct. 21 and 22 Redeemer Lutheran Church will be packaging food for Feed My Starving Children, a non-profit organization that provides pre-packaged dry meals for the hungry and malnourished.
The meals, funded by volunteers, cost less than a quarter to make. The church is asking members of the congregation as well as members of the Spokane community to help pack more than 100,000 MannaPack meals.
According to the church website, “This is a way for all of us in the Spokane community to help the hungry around the world.”
Four work sessions will be held at the church, 3606 S Schafer Road in Spokane Valley. The church is also seeking funds for the project.
