Second Harvest is seeking volunteers for its upcoming “What’s For Lunch” Food Drive.
The drive will be held Friday, July 17, at local Yoke’s stores.
Volunteers are needed for morning and afternoon shifts to hand out fliers, collect food and fund donations, and load donated bags onto trucks, according to an announcement. Kids are welcome to participate. There are only a few volunteer slots left.

Tracy Simmons is an award-winning journalist specializing in religion reporting and digital entrepreneurship. Simmons has worked as a multimedia journalist for newspapers across New Mexico, Texas, Connecticut and Washington. She is the executive director of SpokaneFāVS.com, a digital journalism start-up covering religion news and commentary in Spokane, Washington. She also writes for The Spokesman-Review and national publications. She is a Scholarly Assistant Professor of Journalism at Washington State University.
