Immaculate Heart Retreat Center will be hosting a Day of Prayer on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 18, as its traditional beginning to the Lenten season. This year’s Ash Wednesday speaker will be the Rev. Joachim Hien.
The Day of Prayer, “Finding Christ in the Ashes of Life” begins with a rosary at 9 a.m. and will include two conferences, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, lunch and will close with Adoration at 3 .m..

She also writes for The Spokesman-Review and national publications. She is a Scholarly Assistant Professor of Journalism at Washington State University.
