If I were a mystic


If I were a mystic
I am sure that I would be
a painter, a musician, a dancer and a poet
Though previously I never could
I would then
Though I have no skill for these arts
my soul would be compelled to spill over
to create the music inside
For when the soul is on fire with God
It must sing
