When I'm feeling down, I generally journal my thoughts and work through my emotions on paper. This practice helps me to come to an understanding as to why I am feeling down. I have found that it also helps me in future frustrating situations because reading through some of my older entries can sometimes provide clarification or encouragement for whatever I am currently facing. Depending on what exactly I am dealing with that is making me feel down, the Bible is almost always a good book to turn to for advice or encouragement.
