Meaningful Conversations Series: The Spiritual Arc of History

Sunday, May 31, @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Caught up in our current, turbulent times, can a spiritual perspective help us see a path forward?

You don’t have to look far these days to find something in society that’s cause for concern. From the immediate and urgent crisis we are facing to other equaling alarming issues like climate change, racism, excessive materialism, to poisonous politics, it can seem as though we are in the worst place we’ve ever been – and seemingly without an exit strategy. But despite all these real and urgent challenges, is it possible that we are still actually moving forward towards the inevitable progress and development of humanity?

Martin Luther King Jr. suggested that “the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice.” But does it bend that way on its own, or is there a way that we as individuals and collectively can influence that trajectory? How can we know where to look for hope and how to move forward?

Come join a different kind of conversation – one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all – as we discuss the spiritual perspective offered by the Bahá’i Teachings on what is needed to create a just society for us all. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore the role each of us can play in ensuring that we are building a better world for tomorrow where each of us has the opportunity to reach our full spiritual and material potentials.

“The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established.” – Bahá’i Teachings
