Thursday, Sept. 23, 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Morning Star Baptist Church, 3909 W Rowan Ave, Spokane, and via Zoom.

Civil Rights attorney Andrew Biviano will help participants understand their rights when encountering law enforcement, including when and how an officer can arrest or detain an individual, what options a person has for asserting their rights with police, and how to prioritize personal safety.

The seminar is sponsored by Spokane Community Against Racism.
