Jewish Family Services is preparing to launch a virtual version of our previously scheduled Benefit Luncheon. We will hold an online fundraising event, “Our Attitude is Gratitude,” on Sunday, May 17, from 2-3 p.m. Our honorees and guest speaker will present via the Zoom video calling application, which is free and easy to download to any device.

We will honor Carla Peperzak and Drs. Bill and Berdine Bender with the SAJFS Outstanding Service Award. Also, as planned, Karen Treiger – author of the acclaimed memoir “My Soul is Filled with Joy: A Holocaust Story” – will reflect on how discovering the Holocaust story of her in-laws, Sam and Esther Goldberg, compelled her “to live a life of conviction, kindness, and gratitude.”
