The Sikh Temple of Spokane is inviting the community to an open house at its gurdwara later this month.
A spokeswoman for the Sikh Temple said in an announcement that the open house will be April 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., in correlation with the Sikh holy day of Vaisakhi.
Vaisakhi is traditional festival which celebrates the founding of the Sikh community.
In March the Sikh Temple of Spokane was vandalized. According to an announcement, cleanup following the recent break-in and vandalism is mostly done, but the temple is waiting for replacement of holy items, such as its sacred text, to come from India.
The gurdwara is located at 1420 N. Barker Road.
