In my view, head covering is a symbol of modesty related clothing. So, if you chose to wear hijab as part of head covering, it’s fine. Throughout the Muslim world, from Malaysia to Egypt, head coverings are worn in variant ways and styles. Nowadays, young Muslim fashion designers have reimagined the hijab. Some of those names are like Jenahara Nasution, Rabia Z, Hanadi Chehab and Howayda Moussaka.

Weller first got involved with SpokaneFāVS in October 2021 at a book discussion hosted by FāVS. The meeting was on the book “An Everyday Cult,” which resonated with Weller and she felt grateful that FāVS would promote a thoughtful discussion. Later, FāVS posted an article Weller wrote about the signs of a healthy and unhealthy spirituality, and became a columnist in the Spring of 2022.

Jimmy Young will not hesitate to share that he has not had an easy life. He’s loved his family deeply, and, yet, treated them the opposite of what he felt for them. “A big part of [my writing] is getting that out there and trying to be transparent and giving some lessons that I’ve seen,” Young said. “I’ve seen some pretty dark places through my drug addiction. I’ve caused a lot of pain, wreckage and turmoil in other people's lives — in mine as well, obviously.”

Grayson-Skinner was drawn to SpokaneFāVS because he did not know much about other religions since he was told Christianity, specifically Evangelicalism, was the only “right religion.” 

Pete Haug, a SpokaneFāVS Baha’i columnist, has been writing for as long as he remembers. When his mom passed away, he found a newsletter of his she kept. He wrote it in second grade, and it was all of three sentences about how to float an egg.
