With the passage of Referendum 74, same gender couples will be able to apply for marriage licenses beginning on Thursday.
Couples planning to be married on Dec. 12 (12/12/12) must apply no later than Dec. 7, according to a press release from Spokane Country.
In anticipation of higher than normal volume, the Auditor’s Office-Recording, located in the Customer Service Center on the first floor of the Courthouse (1116 W. Broadway Avenue) will extend its business hours from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for one day only on Dec. 7.
