This is truly a day to honor people, veterans, for serving and sacrificing in defense of what they believed in.

Students and practitioners of the Science of Mind begin like any scientist with a curiosity, a question, study and do the research needed to bring them to a hypothesis, continue doing the research needed to determine for themselves the validity of the hypothesis, and ultimately build a foundation of faith in the hypothesis.

I stood on the stage during prayers with my eyes closed. I felt spirit wash over me, recognizing these prayers would ultimately move around the world as Jews in different time zones celebrated Shabbat.

I sit in awe that during the same period of time that a group of progressives are preparing for a “Coffee Talk” on racism and prejudice another person or group is painting a swastika on a wall at a Jewish synagogue in Spokane.

You say the shooting of Michael Brown happened happened earlier this month and only the riots and marches are keeping it alive in the news cycle.

I almost cringe just putting the words 'religion and patriotism' in the same line. It has been said that politics make strange bedfellows, and whenever religion and politics attempt to drive the same train there is a train wreck in the future.

Here is a very short exclamation of our basic beliefs and guiding principles.
