Upcoming Spokane conference to focus on economic justice, action

The fourth annual Peace and Economic Justice Action Conference will take place March 15-16 at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane, 4340 W. Fort George Wright Drive. Organized by the Peace and Justice Action League of Spokane,  or PJALS, the conference aims to educate people on local and national issues, get them excited about positive change and help provide ways for to put their interests and passions into action.

Reflections on Spokane Faith & Values First “Coffee Talk”

I was grateful to participate in the Spokane Faith & Values 'Coffee Talk" at Chairs Coffee. The subject was the Newtown Elementary School massacre. A panel of us writers and bloggers sparked conversation off through highlighting our response articles and then the group launched into reflections, questions and opinions on the tragedy and people's thoughts on the multitude of reasons and remedies.
