BRIEF: Bishops approve resolution to bless gay unions

On Monday, at the General Convention of The Episcopal Church, the House of Bishops approved a resolution to create a liturgy for same-sex unions. In the proposed liturgy, each person would make a vow, exchange rings and be declared "bound to one another in a holy covenant, as long as they both shall live."

BRIEF: Episcopal committee examines resolutions on Israeli-Palestinian conflict

At The General Convention of The Episcopal Church, which is gathering in Indianpolis this week, the National and International Concerns Committee proposed two resolutions regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The first, a substitute of Resolution B019 affirms positive investment “as a necessary means to create a sound economy and a sustainable infrastructure” in the Palestinian Territories, according to a news release.
