After our time of hibernation and rest
we slowly awaken to Your Divine Life
beginning to gurgle up into Creation
springing it into fruition

The plants begin to come to life
with Your Pulse quickening within them
and we smell your Creativity at play
in billions of species of all sizes, colors,
and aromas all around us growing
in some unknown harmony and Divine Intelligence
that we cannot even begin to grasp

And birds of all kinds begin their songs
of Praise to You, oh Maker
as the animals nestle and nurse
their younglings to life
And all creation breathes in this warm freshness
of a new beginning

We have shaken off the last ice crystals of the past
as we arise from the much needed
bareness of winter
and let the Sun penetrate us deep within
and warm us to the core
as we soak
in the warmth of your Love
and rejoice
in Your Promise,
“my tender mercies are renewed every morning”
