Chief Executives Scott Morris,  Jeff Heggedahl Headline Gonzaga Dean¹s Business Forum Oct. 25

Scott Morris, chairman, president, and CEO of Avista Corp., and Jeff Heggedahl, president and CEO of Ecova, will discuss, “Generating Sustainable Value: Energy Efficiency and Resource Management” at the Gonzaga University Dean’s Business Forum Breakfast starting at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 in the Jepson Center’s WolffAuditorium.

Admission is $15 for the public, $5 for Gonzaga students, and includes a 7 a.m. continental breakfast. To register for the event, visit the following link: www.gonzaga.edu/sbaevents.

Morris is a practiced utility executive who has served various leadership positions since joining Avista in 1981. He began his career in the utility marketing division, and has served in leadership positions in customer service, construction, and as general manager for Avista’s Oregon and California utility business. He was named president of Avista Utilities in 2000, and also serves as chairman of the board of Ecova, a subsidiary of Avista Corp. A Gonzaga alumnus, Morris earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga. He also attended the Stanford Business School Financial Management Program.

Before starting with Ecova in 2009, Heggedahl served as president and CEO of Scantron Corp. in Minneapolis, a testing company with expertise in software and date capture. Previously, Heggedahl was president of the Atlanta-based Harland Printed Products and Marking Services. Ecova is Avista Corp.’s primary, non-regulated subsidiary.

Heggedahl earned a bachelor’s degree in business and communications from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter,Minn., and earned an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St Paul, Minn. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Mass.
