The university is encouraging Zags everywhere to unite in spirit and gather in person to, "celebrate all things Gonzaga." 

In Spokane, there will be a celebration at 6 p.m. at the Spokane Convention Center. You can find full details here.

In the meantime, though, we want to know — are you a Zag?

BRIEF: Professor to present Constitution Day lecture tonight at Gonzaga

Blaine Garvin, professor of political science at Gonzaga University, will present a lecture at 7 p.m. in celebration of both Constitution Day and Gonzaga’s 125th Anniversary Celebration. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be held in the Cataldo Hall Globe Room, according to a press release.

BRIEF: Zagiving Expands, Benefits More Area Families

Clothes, mini-refrigerators, TV sets. College students rid themselves of a vast amount of clutter each year and Gonzaga University Housing and Residence Life is expanding its “Zagiving” program, now in its third year, to ensure more Spokane families benefit from students’ donated goods.

Listening in a big tent

Benedictines like to say listening is the heart of monastic life. “Listen” is the first word of the Rule of St. Benedict that we follow. Listening to God, to each other, to the head of the community are all part of what defines who we are as monastics. But if we were to be really honest we would also say that listening is very difficult. So when I saw that some Gonzaga alumni were protesting the choice of Archbishop Desmond Tutu as a commencement speaker it struck me that listening is precisely what is so lacking in public and religious discourse in our society today.
