The Rev. Patrick Baraza gently placed the holy Quran on a carved wooden stand at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, then turned to the small crowd and welcomed them to the center’s Day of Prayer.
“Today we’re going to focus on another religion that’s maybe not your own,” he said.

Coffee and Contemplation continues at Immaculate Heart
Coffee and Contemplation, a monthly spiritual discussion and reflection time for people of all faiths began this week at Immaculate Heart Retreat Center and will continue through May.
The next discussion will be Oct. 17 with "Seeing the Holy in the Ordinary: Taking the Incarnation Seriously" presented by Kathy Finley.

Happy 2013! That is, assuming you don't think 13 is unlucky. The reasons people think this are endless. In Christianity, 13 is considered fateful because there were supposedly 13 people at the Last Supper. But, apparently, it’s going to be a big year for weddings. It’s cheaper to get married in year ending in 13, ya’ know.
