Sharing the Dharma Day — Sravasti Abbey's monthly presentation of meditation, Buddhist philosophy and discussion — concludes its 2012 series on Dec. 2 with a survey of the various Buddhist Traditions.
According to a press release, the day will begin at 9:45 with tea a guided meditation will take place at 10 a.m., followed by a talk on the day's topic.

Buddhist meditation class series begins Oct. 1
Buddhist nuns from Sravasti Abbey will begin a 6-week meditation class series at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Spokane beginning Oct. 1.
Classes will be Mondays through Nov. 5, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.

BRIEF: Sravasti Abbey reaches $100,000 match
More than 200 people have sent in donations for Sravasti Abbey's Compassion Match campaign to help build Chenrezig Hall, which will allow more space for guests and residents.
Inspired by Chenrezig, Buddha of Compassion, an anonymous donor offered a $100,000 challenge, inviting friends of Sravasti Abbey to match his gift to help build Chenrezig Hall, according to the Friends of Sravasti Abbey website.
