Church offers weekly Celtic Eucharist

St. David's Episcopal Church will host a Celtic Eucharist Thursdays at 7 p.m. beginning in August.

The weekly Celtic celebrations will focus on four saints: Columba, Aiden, Hilda and Julian of Norwich, according to a news release. The Rev. Jane Nelson-Low will preside. The service features Celtic prayers and readings, sung chants and community conversation. A snack reception follows each service.

The final celebration of the month will be Aug. 30, presided by Rev. Elaine Breckenridge. Exploring the spirituality of music, the theme for the final service will be, "Music for the Journey."

The next Thursday evening Celtic celebrations will be held in October.

St. David's will resume its new pattern of offering the Celtic Eucharist every Sunday beginning Sept. 9.
