BRIEF: Sravasti Abbey to host open house

On June 16 Sravasti Abbey, the Buddhist monastery outside of Newport, will host an open house for visitors to tour the property and meet abbey residents. The abbey's five ordained nuns, including Venerable Thubten Chodron, founder of the abbey, will be available to visit with guests during the event.
