Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will kick off its 77th annual Greek Dinner Festival on Thursday with a traditional Greek menu, cooking demonstrations and dancing.

The event will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday and continue through 8 p.m. Saturday.

Fr. Stephen Supica said the festival is a hit year after year noting, "3,000 of our closest friends" turnout. He said it's the amazing food that keeps Spokanites coming back.

The menu includes Beef Kapama, Greek cheeses, pastries, deep-fried puffs, Greek coffee and many more items. Supica said all the food is good, but especially likes the grilled shish-kebabs and the orzo pasta.

Pastries will be available each day of the event starting at 11 a.m. and dinner will be served from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the dinner are $15 at the door. To-go meals are also available.

A lunch menu will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and beginning at noon on Saturday.

A full menu is available on the church website.
