Each week between 80 and 100 people come together in West Central Spokane for a warm, free family-style meal. The Dinner Table is a ministry organized by Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and on Oct. 27 a fundraiser will be held for the program.

According to the church website, the fundraiser is crucial due to rising food costs and shrinking donations.

St. John the Evangelist will be hosting the fundraiser, called Empty Bowls.

For $15 (or $120 for a table of eight), guests can come to the even, choose an empty bowl (yours to keep) and fill it with seasonal soups. There will also be salad, home-baked bread and desert. There will also be silent and live auctions.

For tickets email Kris@trinityspokane.org.
