Why I support gay rights and marriage equality

On April 16, I was part of a rally at City Hall, and one of a multitude of people who testified in support of a non-binding resolution in support of marriage equality. Despite record numbers in attendance at the meeting, the measure was tabled by the councilmembers.

Council to vote on marriage equality tonight

Pastor to read proclamation on gay marriage at City Council meeting

Today outside of City Hall, the Rev. Jim CastroLang will read a proclamation from local clergy supporting gay marriage. "Today, I stand with 18 area religious leaders along with citizens and elected officials from the many neighborhoods of our city, who say to the Spokane City Council: vote yes for the Marriage Equality Resolution”, CastroLang said in a press release.
