BRIEF: Moody to host lecture, luncheon on preaching

Local pastors whose responsibility include preaching are invited to Moody Bible Institute's "Proclaiming Truth with Clarity and Relevance," a luncheon and lecture series with Don Sunukjian.

Sunukjian is the author of, "Invitation to Biblical Preaching," and has has been an expository preacher for 14 years. He's also an international speaker.

Pastor, elders and students desiring to sharpen their skills in "communicating Biblical truth," is invited to attend.

The Classroom Lecture Series will be Jan. 14-18 from 7:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on the Moody campus, 611 East Indiana Ave. Cost to audit the series is $421.50, or cost for three credits (Biblical Truth course) is $921. 

The luncheon, "Lessons Learned from My Mistakes in Preaching” will be Jan. 14 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Moody. Cost is free, but guests are asked RSVP to advising.spokane@moody.edu by Jan. 10.

At Moody, local pastors get preaching tips

Today about 25 local preachers joined Moody Bible Institute-Spokane faculty in a presentation with well-known pastor and author Don Sunukjian to learn ways to improve their ministry. Sunukijan, professor of Christian ministry and leadership, homiletics at Talbot School of Theology delivered a free lecture, “Lessons Learned from My Mistakes in Preaching,” in what the Institute hopes will be a regular educational series for local pastors.
