(RNS) The Air Force Academy's Honor Oath was adopted by the academy’s first class in 1959 without the words "So help me God," which were added in 1984 following a cheating scandal.

I find it interesting that after hundreds of years of formal attacks on non-Christians (to the point of almost total annihilation of cultures around the world, as well as within our own country), the insertion of non-Christian ideals into law are viewed as attacks on Christians and religious freedom.

VIEWPOINTS RESPONSE: Religious rights are not the same things as Christian values

Religious liberty is now and always has been under attack. By the far the most dangerous foe of religious liberty over the centuries has been religious people, who are so convinced that they know the truth, that other methods of worship, other manners of belief, are considered dangerous and must therefore be either suppressed or eliminated altogether.
