I’ve selected to be an organ donor

I just renewed my drivers license online this month and had the opportunity to choose to select to be an organ donor. I've not selected that option in the past due to just my own squeamishness about the whole idea.  But this time, I paused and thought about the matter and found that my faith and the principle of 'doing unto others as you would want done to oneself' came into play in my decision. So, I chose to become a organ donor.

I'm still creeped out about the thought of my body parts getting divided up and shipped off to new homes but in the end, if I or my loved ones needed a donor, I would hope for generosity.

I've never pondered the connection between my faith and organ donation. I tend to avoid thinking of my own death, so the question of organ donation comes up only every four years when renewing my driver's license.
