God makes life hysterical. God languishes in the joy that is produced through existence. 

Existence is such a preposterous concept that we are only endowed with the bare minimum of cognizance of its dimensions. Such that, we may only see the storyboard of our own divine comedy, and not be burdened with a deeper, sacred subtext. We laugh at the sight gags and slapstick designed for the kids, whilst the holy adults chuckle under their breath at the inside jokes. 

To say God possesses a "sense" of humor is an understatement. One could argue God IS humor or, at least, the source of it all. Well done Deity, we are all laughing.
