"Weep with those who weep," Romans 12:15
Our nation and faith communities have been shocked and wounded by acts or terror, hate and violence in the last month and it's easy to become overwhelmed by the ugliness of humanity. The act of prayer is an act of solidarity with the suffering. It's a humble gesture of togetherness and power in the face of evil. Prayer can be done anywhere, anytime by anybody. Whether you gather with the Sikh community tonight in a prayer vigil or you find a place to offer prayer alone, here is a song to aid you in that act of overcoming evil with good.
I wiped my eyes
And made a fresh start
The wind's clothes in
The current color
I cut my hair
In this life of comfort, again
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
Wilderness about it, eyes lifted up to the spirit
