Dr. Pearce Yoichi Fujiura is a veterinarian living in Pullman and practicing at a mixed animal clinic in Spokane.

He grew up in the small town of Sunnyside and has a DVM, a bachelor’s degree in animal science as well as wildlife ecology, and a minor in Japanese.

He’s been an active member of the Buddhist community for 13 years.

“I am a SLAM poet and a distance runner, and have had an interest in theology my whole life,” he said.

Fujiura’s been published as a student editor for the WSVMA journal and as a contributing poet for the New York poetry magazine Tickled by Thunder.

We need faith to grow
